Samsung Introduces World’s First 130-Inch Micro RGB TV at CES 2026, Redefining Ultra-Premium Displays

Introduction

Samsung Electronics has officially raised the bar in the ultra-premium television segment with the unveiling of the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV. Revealed at CES 2026, the new R95H model represents Samsung’s largest Micro RGB display to date and signals a renewed focus on bold industrial design paired with next-generation picture technology.

Background and Context

Micro RGB technology is positioned as the pinnacle of Samsung’s display innovation roadmap. With the 130-inch model, Samsung is not only scaling up screen size but also reintroducing a refined design philosophy first explored over a decade ago. According to Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, the new model embodies “technology as art,” blending cutting-edge engineering with a statement-making physical presence.

Design Philosophy and Aesthetics

The 130-inch Micro RGB TV adopts a modern interpretation of Samsung’s Timeless Gallery concept, now evolved into what the company calls the Timeless Frame. Inspired by large architectural windows, the display appears to float within its frame, transforming the television into a gallery-style centerpiece rather than a conventional screen.

Integrated audio elements are built directly into the frame, tuned specifically for the display’s massive scale. This approach ensures that sound and visuals feel cohesive, reinforcing the immersive, room-defining character of the TV.

Technical Highlights and Picture Performance

At the core of the new display is Samsung’s most advanced Micro RGB stack to date, including:

  • Micro RGB AI Engine Pro
  • Micro RGB Color Booster Pro
  • Micro RGB HDR Pro

These technologies leverage AI to enhance muted tones, refine contrast, and preserve detail across both bright highlights and deep shadows. The result is improved realism and consistent picture fidelity across a wide range of viewing conditions.

The panel delivers Micro RGB Precision Color 100, achieving 100 percent coverage of the BT.2020 wide color gamut. Certification from the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE) confirms precise and accurate color reproduction. Samsung’s proprietary Glare Free technology further minimizes reflections, maintaining color integrity and contrast even in brightly lit environments.

Audio, HDR, and AI Features

The 130-inch Micro RGB TV supports HDR10 Plus ADVANCED, marking Samsung’s first industry implementation of the next-generation HDR10 Plus standard across its 2026 TV lineup. Audio capabilities are enhanced through Eclipsa Audio, designed to complement the display’s scale.

Samsung’s upgraded Vision AI Companion introduces conversational search, proactive content recommendations, and access to AI-driven features such as AI Football Mode Pro, AI Sound Controller Pro, Live Translate, Generative Wallpaper, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity integration. Feature availability varies by region, model, and supported accessories.

Exhibition and Availability

The first-of-its-kind 130-inch Micro RGB TV will be showcased in Samsung’s Exhibition Zone at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. While pricing and commercial availability have not yet been disclosed, the product clearly targets the ultra-luxury residential and commercial display market.

Expert Commentary

With this launch, Samsung is reinforcing its leadership in large-format premium displays. By combining Micro RGB color accuracy, AI-driven image processing, and architectural design language, the company is positioning the 130-inch Micro RGB TV as both a technological showcase and a lifestyle statement.

Outlook

As screen sizes continue to grow and consumers demand both performance and aesthetics, Samsung’s Micro RGB strategy points toward a future where televisions function as immersive design elements. The 130-inch model serves as a clear signal of where ultra-premium home entertainment is heading in the next generation.
